As you may know, last Spring I went on Semester At Sea, an amazing study abroad experience where students study on a renovated cruise ship as it circumnavigates the world in 100 days, stopping off in 13 ports along the way. Obviously packing for such a trip is difficult, as you have to plan for extreme humidity in some countries, snow in others, and cultural customs throughout. The trip was about becoming a global citizen, however I have often wondered if I were to sail again (with an enlarged shopping budget and my boyfriend in tow) what I would wear?
First up… Spain! When I was in Spain it was chilly & sunny the first day with freezing rain the next 3 days. I picked out some adorable rain booties, comfortable skinny jeans for long bus rides, a warm waterproof anorak, a Gehry inspired sweater, colorful accessories, and of course a watch to make sure you get back to the ship on time!
Have fun shopping!
